A Great and Terrible Beauty
I've had this book almost since it came out, however many years ago, but just never got around to it. I'm not normally into reading YA stuff, because I'm not a YA and I'm not a librarian or teacher. But I did enjoy this, enough to look for the rest of the series. The author has a fairly simple, clear style, but with good description, and while the story is not emotionally that deep or particularly original, it's done well.
